Hospital Run and Farmbox Direct

Happy Monday Foodies and Moms!

Last week was quite an interesting one. My little munchkin started daycare. All was going well and I felt like I was on cloud nine. Two days later, she puked all over herself and the car on the way to daycare. What a way to burst my bubble? My husband made a u-turn and took us home. I spent the day nursing my little sweetie back to health. Meanwhile, my dad went in for a doctor's appointment and was immediately admitted when his blood pressure hit the roof. I tell ya, I really had one crazy week. I didn't really know whether to smile or cry, but I can assure you that I have done both this weekend. It is amazing what can happen in such a short period of time. It is times like these that I am happy to have my faith. I really don't know what I'd do without it.

Despite all the craziness going on in my world right now, these simple things still put a smile on my face.

- I'm alive. {there goes that Faith kickin' in}
- my munchkin's smile {it is infectious and one of the reasons why I am getting a bat }
drool filled smooches. {ewwwww, but i'll take them anytime all day everyday }
- my hubster...he just rocks! {He just does. Period.}

Yes, despite it all life is still good!

At the end of the day, my faith, my munchkin and my hubster are what keep me going. Because of their love, I can remain calm while I head to the hospital to see dad. I have faith that he will be alright. He has always been a fighter and I know this is just another challenge that he WILL conquer.

With that said, what shall I cook for dinner? Lol! What? I am a food blogger aren't I? Hurting or not, a lady has to eat. I must admit I slacked off on the cooking since the whirlwind of events started to happen. However, I am back on the grind and I am ready to fire up the oven.

Speaking of food, I received my delicious box of fruits and veggies from Farmbox Direct yesterday. {I have been showing off my goodies throughout this post.} When I opened the box, I was happy to see all of the freshly picked produce that was delivered to my door. I first heard about Farmbox direct through #foodiechats on twitter. I decided to look them up and give them a try. So far, I'm happy I did. I am looking forward to creating some yummy dishes from this week's box of goodies. Look out for some cool, easy and healthy recipes this week!
